We are thrilled to announce RightNow Idea Lab!  You know better than anyone what you want from RightNow.  So we want you to tell us about it-big or small, simple or revolutionary.  We're here, listening for your ideas for making our cloud-based service better!

Idea Lab is a feedback forum where RightNow customers can submit ideas, collaborate on development, vote for their favorite ideas, and see which are being implemented by RightNow.

Many factors go into planning RightNow releases.  Participating in the Idea Lab is the simplest & most direct way to share your ideas & enhancement requests with us.  If you've already shared your idea with us through other channels, you're encouraged to post it on "Ideas," so your idea can be openly discussed and voted on by other customers and the RightNow team.

This addition to the RightNow Community is part of our ongoing commitment to keep improving the customer experience we deliver to you. That's why we're asking for your help in finding, evolving, and prioritizing the ideas that will best help you.

How the Idea Lab works:

1.       Search existing Ideas before posting

2.       Post your idea.

3.       Vote (give it a kudos) & comment on ideas.

4.       See your ideas in action.

Idea Lab Submission Guidelines

  • Is it really an idea?  Probably, but if you aren't sure if this functionality already exists, check in customer resources (e.g. manuals, Support KB, discussion forums).
  • Search first. Keep our Community clean and productive by searching for similar ideas before you post.  If the idea already exists, you should join your feedback to the current idea rather than watering down the potential impact across multiple submissions.
  • Ideas are great, but adding use-cases & personas make them even better.  Share what you were trying to do, who in your organization would use this, & who would benefit from it.  These details will help us better understand what you want & maybe solve your problem more quickly another way.
  • Share your ideas.  Couple things to keep in mind:
  • One idea, one post
  • Use a catchy & descriptive title
  • Be clear & concise
  • Use visuals
  • Vote & comment on others' ideas. Look at other ideas periodically to see what your fellow members are requesting and comment on them! While we take into account the numbers of kudos an idea receives, we also consider the amount and quality of member feedback when making decisions

Idea Statuses

All ideas are reviewed by RightNow for member interest, complexity, resources, market trends, alignment with our product vision, and prioritization against other projects.

"How come my idea doesn't have a status?" >> Some ideas are easier to do than others. Don't be discouraged if your amazing new idea isn't immediately picked up. Some ideas take longer than others, and some ideas will not be possible within the scope of what we want to accomplish in the next year or so.

Under Consideration >> After gathering valuable Community input, the RightNow Products team is evaluating the idea to see where it might fit into the product roadmap.

If an idea you like is under consideration, that's a good thing! It means it is something we are excited about.  As our plan unfolds, check the comments for specific release details, but note dates aren't always available as we need to maintain flexibility in the priority schedule to accommodate urgent projects and other necessary changes.

Delivered >> This idea has been developed and added to the product.  Thanks much for your ideas and input!
