Centralization of interface/UI maintenance

Please make it possible to work on the international interfaces by switching on an option which displays the admin interface in e.g. English, either for the admins or for the entire staff.

We often receive change requests on specific interfaces which are unreadable to us (e.g. Turkish, Mandarin, Russian) and we are wasting a lot of time reproducing the same steps as on the UK interface one by one until we realize that sometimes menu structures are sorted alphabetically and do not open the menu we would have liked to open.

Changes that make it necessary to switch to the local interface include (but are not limited to) Navigation sets, Reports, RN Feedback and Marketing, Service mailboxes, File manager etc...

Furthermore translations to menu structures, buttons etc are often incorrect or too long that they do not fit in the workspace design.

This handicap of the RN UI not only adds overhead but it poses risks to the application and to operations. One wrong change may have to be rolled back while operational staff is waiting for the change to be reverted.

Thanks.

Kind regards,

Karim Michael Hambach
TomTom Sales BV - Amsterdam

A huge thumbs up from me. I was just searching to see whether this had already been raised as we have discussed it during previous conference events.

While the actual config. labels are the same across all languages, having to navigate to them with words like RightNow-brugergrænseflade Konfigurationsindstillinger is a nightmare. The more RightNow interfaces, the more risks and time wasted - particularly when entering into the depths of the File Manager and other system config.

If I load up an English interface but want to amend configuration for ALL languages, please display everything in English for admin folk.

Send og afslut = Commit and exit (in Danish)

Annuller og afslut = Cancel and exit (in Danish)

Hardly phrases i'll ever need when visiting Denmark but i've had to learn them for making RN changes!

Chris
