RN On-Demand CX Server for APAC

Hi there,

A number of our internal staff and people I met at the APAC Summit indicated that at times RN is running very slow. As the data volume and user activities both continue to increase exponentially, I suggest RightNow to set up a server for APAC customers in close proximity. This will especially benefit clients in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia by providing better speed and performance. Today's customers don't have the patience to wait for screen to load after 30+ second, and productivity gain can be significant. As for RightNow, having a dedicated server for APAC customers in the region can serve as a huge sales booster, if marketed well. It shows your dedication to exceptional customer experience by addressing ever-increasing need of your customer base.

I hope to see our data packets travel less distance and help load screens quicker in 2010. In the age of social Web, speed of Web applications is more important than ever. Thanks RN for looking into this idea (in advance!)

Introduce RightNow Professional Certifications

As the number of RN customers and the richness of RightNow CX features both continue to grow, I propose RightNow to develop professional certification tracks for individuals to enhance existing RightNow education and training. (e,g, RN Certified Power User, Consultant, Developer, Trainer) Some of the existing online tutorials coupled with quiz and assessment at the end can easily be used for the "Power User" track. Once the momentum is built, other more professional tracks can be rolled out incrementally.

This has double benefits - users gain professional credentials that are recognised in RN communities. At the same time, RN can more effectively segment their customers based on their RN expertise, level of knowledge, and professional skills. This also provides RN a more powerful recruitment and skill development framework for new and existing employees and partnering consultants in the future.

Similar certification tracks exist for Oracle/Siebel and Microsoft CRM. But let's do it creatively. A whole new way of training (mostly online in social networking settings) and certification with cool new names that are unique to RightNow, as we rid the world of bad experiences together.

No line-wrapping on code segments in Dev Forum!

I would love to see your text editor in the Development forum not line-wrap code sections. It's really difficult to read...

 For example, here is a block of code:

[AddIn("RecordEventWatcher")]
public partial class RecordEventWatcher : Control, IWorkspaceComponent
{
#region Constructors
public RecordEventWatcher()
{
InitializeComponent();
}
public RecordEventWatcher(bool inDesignMode, IRecordContext recordContext)
:this()
{
if (!inDesignMode)
{
//Register for events- the real reason for the addin to exist in the first place
_RecordContext = recordContext;
_RecordContext.Saving += new CancelEventHandler(_RecordContext_Saving);
}
}

#region Event Handlers
private void _RecordContext_Saving(object sender, CancelEventArgs e)
{
// stuff...
}

#endregion
}

The section is even added with a -disabled- horizontal scrollbar.

Status: Delivered
The code sections have been fixed. You will now see the code sample for this idea with a horizontal scrollbar.

Was this answer helpful? Comments should not require an email address.

Have the option to gather feedback from an Answer without requiring an email address.  Since the answer is not helpful the customer is probably picking up the phone or emailing us anyway.   Or they think we are going to answer thier feedback.   The knowledgebase Editor will probably gather more feedback if the customer doesn't have to give up an email address and could just type in their comment and go on.  Because we do not answer back the customers when they submit the feedback, we are currently giving them an expectation they will be contacted (because we require an email address).    Give us the option to require the email address. It it is not required, then this field would not be present.  Also, we do not have our customer's sign in and we do not display the 'my stuff' tab on our sites.

Ability to do branching on one page of a survey

Currently, to branch (to have logic depending on the answer to a question) you have to create multiple pages, even for a survey that is quite short.  This makes the survey cumbersome for the survey recipient and preception-wise we have received complaints from recipients as well as managers who create the surveys that it makes the surveys less user friendly.

Given the nature of surveys and the low response rate, anything that makes surveys less user friendly is not a good thing.

Having a multiple interface checkbox

HISTORY

We have done a lot of work with creating a multi-lingual feedback surveys.  however because some of the developers were based only in the UK these were created in our English (UK) interface.

Issue

The Resulting contacts from non UK english feedback are held in thewrong interface and this our agents are unable to action the feedback of these items

Solution?

tpo introduce a multi-interface checkbox or option to allow cdevelopment to be applied across all interfaces, similar to the interface option on the Account Profiles where you can state which interfaces they have access to.

This ideally would/should not be limited to feedback but also include analytics et al.

Add URL Parameters to Weblink Surveys

Hello,

We have a survey that we put out on tons of different social-networking sites and forums to request user feedback. We need to know how to track from where the user clicked the link (IE, Craigslist, Myspace, Facebook, etc....) It would be nice to be able to add parameters to the URL so that we don't have to duplicate the survey for every use.

Anyone else have this need also?

Thanks!

Add feature to preview documents on different browsers

Dear RN Team,

It is currently only possible to preview design documents (for RN Marketing mailings, surveys etc) in the IE browser.

Compatibility with other browsers cannot be tested. It often leads to time-consuming checks and re-checks before we can actually deploy our newsletters and other mailings.

Please add preview buttons (which can be defined by admins) to preview documents in either IE, Firefox, Safari etc...

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Restrict access to specific surveys in Metrics

Some of the surveys we've created contain sensitive data and should not be available to all who have access to the console.  Having controlled access, such as a View,  would address confidentiality issues.
