Mobile Reporting

The latest upgrades provide us with an increased range of super report formats but what about the ability to send flash formatted reports to mobile Phones/PDA's?

 

We have an increasing number of our GMD's asking about the ability to receive daily and adhoc reports direct to their Blackberries/PDA's, etc. Currently we need to convert using Flash and this is then not really achieving that snappy ability to have hte latest info at the touch of a button.

 

It would be nice to have the ability to select from the output list a "Mobile" format that we could then use the standard delivery method directly from RNT.

Update Appointment button functionality

(I created an enhancement request for this so am simply pasting it here for review by the community)

 

 SUMMARY: Update Appointment button functionality

CURRENT FUNCTIONALITY: The appointment button generates an Outlook Calendar appointment and passes some very limited information to the Outlook appointment. For example from the Task workspace the Due Date is not passed to the Outlook appointment so if the Task Due date is tomorrow, the Outlook Appointment is generated for today and has to be changed manually.

REQUESTED CHANGE: Pass more information to the Outlook Appointment; especially from the Task Workspace.  It would also be nice if the Administrator had the ability to customize what is sent.  
A specific request would be: From the Task workspace the Due Date *should* be passed to the Outlook Appointment so the only thing the user has to update is possibly the time span the appointment covers.

Also (using task as the example) if the record has relationships with other records those record names and/or ID's should show up in the appointment.  For example if a task is associated to a Company (for Sales use) the Company name (and possibly ID) should show up in the Outlook Appointment.  If there is an incident associated that reference number should also appear in the appointment.  If no records are associated then nothing needs to display (aside from the Notes and Task Name etc.) 

BUSINESS IMPACT OF MISSING FUNCTIONALITY:  Today it is very easy for users to create a task with a due date but then forget to set the correct due date for the appointment; thus missing it. Also the calendar appointment is much more useful if it has details on the associated records.

B2B "Campaign" tracking

I'd like to see some sort of initiative tracking similar to the salesforce.com campaigns feature for B2B sales.  For example, we might have a regional blitz on all clients/prospects in TX during the first week in August.  We want to be able to organize a strategy, capture all touch points with these B2B contacts, determine if any opportunities were generated, and analyze outcomes all tied to this initiative without needing to create custom fields to capture these records.  This would be similar to a B2C campaign, however I would not want to give any mass emailing capabilities to our sales force (shudder)!

Sales offer after service call

Hello,

 

Relevance: after a service call I would like to make relevant offers via the campaign module.

  • via the offer advisor I would like to make one single offer only to relevant segments
  • via the offer advisor I would like to register whether the offer has already been offered. If so, by default the offer will not be offerred again
  • via the marketing campaign I would like to guide my agents through a series of steps

 

RightNow pitfall:

When adding a promotion for the offer advisor, the yes/interested url's have a max length of only 100 characters. This is quite short for urls, especially when directing to a rightnow page or when adding parameters. Looking at the data schema, the database field doesn't seem to have this limitation. After several checks, it is not possible to change the limittation.

Service is the new sales is therefore hard to implement.
