Show RN clock

We currently use RN's login and logout timestamps to manage agents' attendance.  The caveat is that there is no sure way to verify by how many minutes the RN time is OFF compared to OUR time.

 

I know our network guys use NTP to synch with some government agency (CIA, or Time.gov, etc.) but it would be great if displaying CURRENT RN TIME was an option on the workspace or on the bottom right hand corner.

 

I know that the current difference is probably immaterial, but it's a nice thing to have - current time in the application.

No line-wrapping on code segments in Dev Forum!

I would love to see your text editor in the Development forum not line-wrap code sections. It's really difficult to read...

 

 For example, here is a block of code:

Bring back the functionality of customizing the RN UI login screen

The login ads-screen probably caters the needs of less than 1% of the users using RightNow on a day to day basis.

Agents on the phone/email are not interested in the daily RN ads, they prefer to view information relevant to their work.

 

Currently we are talking about a waste of space. RN ads should however be visible to admins (via e.g. notifications).

 

Why would an agent be interested in "Is your call center suffering from feverish operation costs" or "RN May Release 09 - Delivring Busienss Insight on demand". You get my drift. :smileyhappy:

 

We would like to be able to add relevant broadcasts, by at least using HTML and possibly also Flash, Javascript...

 This was (somehow) possible in Pre 8.8 versions though any form of customization has unfortunately been removed.

Allow insertion of a level up in reports

The insertion of a level should allow for up (moving the current level as a drill-down) as it currently allows for a level down (drilldown).  This would be great for existing detailed reports that you now wish fto use for a general grouping of data.  We have many reports where I originally created a detailed report for Supervisory level consumption.  The Executives would now like their own report without the detail.  If I could create a level above the current level, I could provide a report that suits both groups needs without having to build and maintain two reports, or completely re-build the current report.

Ability to do branching on one page of a survey

Currently, to branch (to have logic depending on the answer to a question) you have to create multiple pages, even for a survey that is quite short.  This makes the survey cumbersome for the survey recipient and preception-wise we have received complaints from recipients as well as managers who create the surveys that it makes the surveys less user friendly.

 

Given the nature of surveys and the low response rate, anything that makes surveys less user friendly is not a good thing.

Searching multiple fields from ONE box (within a report or a workspace)

What if I wanted to run a search for a word in multiple fields? - Subject, Body / Thread, custom field 1, custom field 2, First Name, Last Name, Email address, etc.? I would have to do multiple searches - one for subject/body one for each custom field, one for F.Name, one for L.Name, one for email addr. 

 

A neat feature would be to select which fields need to be searched and running a query.

 

I can think of a couple of scenarios when this would be necessary, but most common one was if the customers confuse First and Last Names I'd like to be able to search for "John" in both First and Last name field by typing the name only once.

Update client's MS Office Diary when they registered for an event

I would like to be able to automatically update my clients' MS Office diary once they have registered for our events. We send them reminders only to come back with apologizes that they have been doubled booked and was unable to attend our events.

Rule to Set Language

We've had quite a few headaches around not being able to choose the Language in the "Then" statement of rules. It would be great to have this option.

 

Use Case: 

Customer writes in to English interface in Spanish.

CSR changes Queue to Spanish

Rules change Interface and Mailbox

Incident language is still in English and can be "lost" due to language filters for each interface.

 

Curious if others have this same issue?

RNT needs to test and provide support for Firefox 3.5 in a fix

firefox 3.0 has some significant problems from what I have been told. So they are pulling it from download and  support Jan 2010.   RNT needs to test with 3.5 and provide any changes in a fix so we can support this new browser.  Upgrading to a new release of RNT for each browser changfe is too disruptive to business.
